Hey Dear Sisters and Friends,
What a wonderful time the AWSAs had in Denver at our 9th annual conference, just prior to ICRS this July. To be honest, I thought our attendance would be down, but we ended up with a huge group and what fun we had together. I've heard from several members that our AWSA conference is the highlight of their year. As one high profile author told me, "I'm on the front lines and I look forward to coming to AWSA to be with those who understand, who will love, encourage and pray for me."
And THAT is what we are all about, well that and our love for our Lord.
Plus we get a few bonuses along the way. What fun it was to see our own Thelma Wells win the Golden Scrolls Lifetime Achievement Award. Also, I think Thelma's Friday night message was a conference highlight for me. She reminded us all that we are not serving ourselves but Jesus.
Of course there were so many wonderful moments at the conference, it's hard to pick my favorite one. But the secret announcement Carole Whang Schutter and I shared with the sisters had to be right at the top. We'll soon be able to share with the world how the AWSA gals are going to change the world so stay tuned!
